Xenops, Plain

A small brown bird with small white streak under the eye and short upturned bill. This little treecreeper is in the ovenbird family and feeds by creeping in all directions on the trunk of trees, much like a woodcreeper. We saw this one on a rainly day at the Mashpi Chocolate Farm. While not a great shot, I have liked the name xenops.
