This Rough-legged hawk was right at the roadside. I was driving up and down farm roads looking for subjects to photograph when I looked over and seen this hawk right at my Jeep window.. I slowly picked up my camera and was able to snap this photo just before it flew away.. As a tip… I always ride around with my windows down and camera set up and staged in my passengers seat just in case.. If it’s winter and cold outside remember to keep your car heat,, this way you avoid heat waves flowing outside your window in front of your lens…
