I had to go back to Horicon under better conditions and perfect light to shoot the Black-necked Stilts. The marsh had dried up considerably in five days but the Stilts were still relatively close to the walking path. I really like this shot with good detail in the black and white, a raised leg and good color in the eye. Such a cool bird in a natural setting.

Beautiful shot
Thank you Mike.
A great shot of the single Black-necked stilt walking. Love the blending of the colors. Well-worth the trip back.
