In five days since my last visit, the little ones went from hiding under mom’s wings to being much more independent. Now when Mom called, the little ones would come to her but didn’t need as much protection. Here is a shot I love with Mom and her four babies getting ready to try swimming. Seeing growth and maturity is very heartwarming. I hope these four birds make it to adulthood.
