Four sanderlings were feeding along the apron of the north pier at Holland State Park. As we watched them, they worked their way toward us until they were about 20 feet away and almost too close for my 600 mm lens. In this photo, the sanderling has found a tasty morsel.

Excellent shot of the Sanderling. We were looking at some on the beach in Montrose yesterday.
