In a pond at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge Visitor’s Center, I saw this “elusive” Ruddy Duck with the famous blue bill. Very striking. First time I saw one fairly up close to take a descent photo.

The Ruddy Duck males are such fun to see, particularly during breeding season when their bill is so blue. Good capture.
