While on my wife’s work trip, we stayed 3 days in Shenandoah National Park in Virgina last June, 2025. After a hike, we noticed this bird flying back and forth between 2 areas near our car. So we stayed near it. Took several shots and I was rewarded with this one.

That’s an interesting shot of the Towhee – I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with the feathers on the top of its head standing up like that.
