Stu Visser Trails is a place an increase of birders and photographers visit as it has a marsh and small streams and two ponds along the trail. Occasionally a duck will show up for great looks and photos that are otherwise seen at a distance along the far edge of habitat. This female American Wigeon was one of the birds to stop over in November 2025 refueling for her continued trip south. As she was close to the walkway, we could observe her intricate feather detail as well as the duckweed stuck to her belly feathers and beak.
