A pair of black scoters winging it from the Atlantic upstream in the Indian River Inlet as ice flows from Rehoboth Bay out to the ocean. Many scoters flock to this one area as it offers abundant feeding opportunities during the winter months. Captured in early February following brutally cold weather where parts of Rehoboth Bay and Lewes harbor completely froze over, something that had not occurred in over 30 years.
