Song Sparrow

Is This How to Learn to Paddle Board? (Water Contest)

Viewed 3 Times

We have visited Stu Visser Trails many, many times since it was developed. It consists of 37 acres. There is a marsh, some woodlands, a couple of small ponds, and a stream that flows into Lake Macatawa.

On this day out of the corner of my eye I see movement on the lily pads. I assumed a female Red-winged Blackbird but we were surprised to see it was a Song Sparrow. We watched it walking back and forth across the lily pads with its feet in and out of the water accumulated on the lily pads. We have never seen one on lily pads before.
