Green Jay

Similar but now different

Viewed 38 Times

This bird has been split off into its own species; now the Inca Jay. This one has been photographed at the San Isidro Lodge on the eastern slope of the Andes in Ecuador. Acts the same-typical jay type behavior, but looks much different. Note the eyes, crown, head and nape.
It used to be classified as a Green Jay.

Beautiful picture. I’m going to look into how to add the Inca jay as a species choice.
