The dead of winter doesn’t usually herald the arrival of a new bird in your yard, but on this bitter cold Valentine’s day this little beauty and a buddy showed up in my weeping cherry tree. In between little naps it would wake to sing its little heart out. If it were not for hearing its sweet song, I probably wouldn’t even have noticed it.

This is the first time I’ve seen a Tree Sparrow sing like that – almost like a Song Sparrow. Nice catch!
He’s singing his heart out! Nice capture.
