Field Sparrow
The grasslands were hopping with little Field Sparrows last week, and everywhere you could hear the “bouncing ball” trill they make, along with tiny flashes of pink bills popping in and out of the tall grasses. I have actually heard their song in my yard, but have yet been able to spot one.
