Herring Gull
I grew up near the south shore beaches of Long Island NY and when I was a kid I used to love watching the gulls by the shore. Since I’ve gotten into birding gulls are not high on my list of birds to look for, but when one lands on my pond I still have to photograph it. This one caught a fish and you can see it floating in the water next to it.
