I have been laid up all year after having surgery on my right hand for basal joint arthritis and trigger finger. After almost four months, I’m still recovering and to make matter worse, my left hand hurts even more. Anyway, that is why I haven’t been posting lately. A while back, I spotted a couple of bald eagles west of the Hillview Blacktop west of Glasgow, Illinois. When I first spotted the eagles, they were on the ground eating something. Before I could get very close they took off and I could see that this immature bald eagle was carrying something. I finally figured out that it was a raccoon after seeing the striped eye. The body of the raccoon was as flat as a pancake, so apparently this eagle picked up some roadkill from the nearby Hillview Blacktop. This picture isn’t anywhere near as sharp as I would have liked, but I think it is at least an interesting photo.

Looks fine, Mike. I know you meant bald eagle and not puffin. I imagine you’ve been busy fixing all of entries that had uploading problems.
