Peregrine Falcon
While birding at the Muskegon Wastewater facility, we saw this Peregrine swoop in on a flock of sandpipers, which scattered in all directions. This one was not so lucky as the Peregrine grabbed it in mid-air, then settled on one of the aerators for a leisurely lunch. I took this photo 2004 with my one megapixel Nikon Coolpix 995 mounted on a spotting scope.
