Birds in Black and White – Chickadee Ready for a Bath

This Black-capped Chickadee is standing on the edge of a bird bath, although we could call it his infinity pool, or maybe a skating rink. Without color clues, we can’t see for sure what he is standing on. The slight softness allows us to focus on the soft feathers and his thoughts about bathing or drinking. The graininess of the film brings us back to the days before electronic images. This is a true Black and white image, taken with Pentax MX, Pentax 400mm, and Kodak Tri-x 400 film.
