Western Meadowlark
This Western Meadowlark usually lives around the Rocky Mountains. A pair of them ended up along a country road just west of Chicago mixed in with Tree Sparrows, Horned Larks, and Lapland Longspurs. This is in non-breeding colors. Later in the spring the black breast will become solid black and the yellows will become more pronounced.
