Least Sandpiper

Little Brown Birds Are Tough

I always have a hard time identifying small shorebirds – they all look so similar. My friend Carl easily ID’d this one because it had yellow-green legs. It’s a Least Sandpiper. I also know them to have a beautifully colored brown back.

Nice shot with perch, background, body position and sharpness.

Good POV, detail, perch. I like the OOF light area in the center L of frame. Makes me wonder, what is back there? Very nice shot.
