Piping Plover

One of Three

There were four chicks hatched by Monty and Rose, Chicago’s famous Piping Plover pair. Alas one three appear to have survived as of 6/23/20. They all stayed far away from the perimeter fence, where were were allowed to view from.

The chicks are so adorable. I’ve only seen them in other people’s videos and photos, but I love the way they stretch their little wings and run around.
