Red-tailed Hawk
I always say it’s being at the right place at the right time. I was birding along the Bison field at Fermilab when I spotted this Red-tailed hawk sitting on a fence post. As I was taking my shots of him on the fence post, he dropped to the ground and came up with a garter snake. Wow! I didn’t know if I wanted to see this, but nature can be cruel for some and survival for others.
