Sandhill Bands

We saw two Sandhill Cranes at this location and one of them was banded.  Going online I was able to determine that this individual was banded and tracked by the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin.  This is an wildly recognized organization devoted to the preservation and propagation of cranes.  I went to their website and found a form to send them information about the bird so they could enter it into their research database.  The form requested the location, banding information, description of the bird(s), pictures and my contact information.   Hopefully the data sent to them will help further their efforts to preserve this beautiful bird.
