It is nice to see the spring time birds show in our area. One of the species that seems to be more common now than in the past is the Blue Grosbeak. The males are always “attention getters” but some individuals are even more stunning than usual. IMO, this is one of those. This bird seemed to actually glow he was so blue! Photographed at Whelan Lake near Oceanside CA, this bird was feeding on grass seed heads.
About 50% FF, processed in PS with no change in the colors of the bird. The BG was darkened slightly and an OOF branch in front of the bird was removed.
