I should probably first point out how unusual and special it is to see this species in New England. It’s a “lifer” for me. The last time I sought one reported not far from me, I waited 4 or 5 hours and saw nothing.
This time, a nearby nest led to a more predictable sighting. This bird made several trips to its nest where he dropped off his catch.
