There were 11 Greater Yellowlegs in a small pond on Harbor Island along with many other species of birds. For an unknown reason, these two birds would interact and then land for a bit near each other and then start over again.
Changing the natural brown tones of this species to shades of black emphasizes the intensity of their interaction and enhances the feather detail and wing and leg movement.
The water droplets are more obvious as they convey the action that the two birds have recently leaped out of the water.
